Sarah was born and raised in Oregon, and attended Portland State University for her Bachelor’s to study Criminology and Criminal Justice. Her love for helping others started at a young age, which made it an easy decision for her when choosing the legal field for her career. While in college, Sarah worked as a Paralegal for three years at a large criminal defense firm, working on cases ranging from misdemeanors to major felonies.

When the paralegal position was not as hands-on with helping others and getting to know people as she had hoped, she applied to be an investigator. Sarah has been an investigator since August 2021, and has been overwhelmed with her love for it and the different ways she gets to lend a hand to others. She is very passionate about the criminal justice system and is happy to work in a capacity where she can share her knowledge of it. Sarah now works with LJK as our client outreach coordinator, connecting with attorneys and their staff to ensure LJK is always meeting the needs of our clients.

In her free time, she loves being on the golf course, spending time with her family and learning what new vegetarian meals she can cook up. Sarah’s favorite place is the West Coast; she often visits California and takes day trips up to Seattle. Anywhere with sunshine and a golf course is her daydream.
