Lawrence was born in Portland, Oregon, and moved around several times within the state. Lawrence began his career in 1996 working in the downtown PDX scene in the private sector, which quickly turned into a multi-faceted career in city and state contracts, including federal uniform contract work.

In the late ’90s, Lawrence was exposed to insurance fraud work and was mentored by some well known and prestigious investigators and former local and federal law enforcement. Lawrence provided a full range of investigative and protective services for celebrities, local and foreign dignitaries, well-known sports figures, and high-net individuals. His work has supported Fortune 500 companies, robbery suppression operations, as well as domestic and foreign executive protection teams. While doing protection work, Lawrence's interest in criminal defense began to grow. He has found joy in helping individuals and families navigate complicated issues and only wishes to help justice be served. Since being introduced to criminal defense investigations, Lawrence has investigated hundreds of Measure 11 and other serious felony cases throughout the state of Oregon. Lawrence believes in a strong justice system in which every client deserves a thorough investigation.

 

After a successful career in the Portland area, Lawrence started LJK Investigations in 2018 in Salem, Oregon and has grown the company steadily ever since. In his 26 years in the industry, he has held true to a strong compass in ethical, confidential, and integrity-driven investigation services. Lawrence is skilled in communication, leadership, interpersonal skills, knowledge of courtroom proceedings, and is a keen judge of character.

The northwest was Lawrence’s playground growing up. He was an avid biker, swimmer, and hiker. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time in nature. Lawrence finds solitude in his family in this crazy world we live in. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and on getaways at the beach.
