Nathan was born and raised in the Boston, Massachusetts area and brings a diverse background to LJK. While completing his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Massachusetts and working full-time as a real estate appraiser, he took a criminal justice elective that sparked his interest in law enforcement. Shortly thereafter, he began his career as a police officer. While working the night shift, Nathan earned his master’s degree in criminal justice from Curry College.

Over a nearly 17-year career in law enforcement, Nathan held various roles, including dispatcher, patrol officer, and detective, earning numerous commendations and awards. As a drug detective, he also collaborated with federal task force partners on several high-level Title III investigations into drug trafficking organizations. His extensive experience spans the entire investigative process, from initial dispatch and street-level crime to complex federal cases and courtroom testimony.

Now based in Central Texas after retiring from law enforcement, Nathan leverages his research and analytical skills to provide thorough results for stakeholders. He is passionate about maintaining a fair and impartial criminal justice system, bringing a unique perspective informed by his years on the prosecutorial side of the law.

Outside of work, Nathan enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and children, exploring the art of Texas barbecue, and volunteering within his church, local community, and as a youth sports coach.
