Before becoming a licensed investigator and joining LJKI, Marty retired as the Director of Adult Parole/Probation and Juvenile Probation in Polk County, Oregon, after almost 30 years of service. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Corrections and Psychology from Western Oregon State College.

Marty has completed 29 marathons, including four Boston Marathons, and nearly 10 half marathons. Born and raised in the Santiam Canyon area, Marty currently lives on a 30-acre farm where he raises pigs, sheep, and cattle. His latest passion is raising and training homing pigeons.
